We currently operate a team-based care model in Dieppe, NB where nurses and administrators work at the top of their scope, workflows are streamlined in advance, and physicians focus exclusively on patient care.
These services are provided to our rostered patients and covered by Medicare.
At this time, our public practice has reached full capacity. Our team of three physician currently delivers care to a roster of approximately 15,000 patients.
Increasing access to primary care requires immediate solutions that complement the public health system while respecting its core values of equity and universality.
Timely access to assessment, diagnosis, and treatment prevents conditions from worsening, reduces downstream costs, and improves patient outcomes.
When care is delivered efficiently, public resources can be focused on patients with the most complex and urgent needs.
Private health services, when thoughtfully integrated, can play a supportive role within a community by reducing wait times, expanding capacity, and improving access to non-urgent or specialized services.
Private services can support individuals in improving their overall health, daily functioning, and productivity. Early and structured management of medical conditions helps reduce long-term complications, work disability, and preventable use of emergency and hospital services. A healthier, more functional population ultimately contributes to stronger communities and a more sustainable healthcare system.
A mixed, complementary model benefits patients, physicians, and the health system as a whole. Improved efficiency leads to faster access, better patient experience, and more effective use of public resources—supporting a resilient healthcare system for the entire community.
