Access Medical Canada Team

Professional woman with a stethoscope, wearing a beige turtleneck and blazer.

Dre Marie-Claude Bourdages, MD, CCFP

Dr. Marie-Claude Bourdages earned her Doctorate of Medicine from the Université de Sherbrooke in 2006 and completed her Family Medicine residency in 2008. She spent 14 years practicing emergency medicine, including serving as Head of Department, where she refined her leadership capacity and mastered high-acuity decision-making in fast-paced clinical environments.

In 2022, she founded Clinique Médicale Accès — a bold reimagining of family medicine built on efficiency, collaborative practice, and system redesign. Recognized for her ability to optimize workflows and unlock capacity within existing healthcare structures, Dr. Bourdages has positioned efficiency not merely as an operational strategy, but as a lever for access reform. Her work challenges the assumption that more recruitment is the only solution to access — instead demonstrating how empowered teams and intelligent systems can dramatically expand care delivery.

Dr. Bourdages is actively involved in healthcare transformation, scaling this innovative model through CME training, consulting, and private service expansion, with a clear mission: to increase timely access to high-quality care for Canadians while strengthening and complementing the public healthcare system.

Outside of healthcare transformation, Dr. Bourdages is a proud and energetic hockey mom of three — often found at the rink, where teamwork and resilience continue to inspire her leadership.
